Arthur was the human man who loves starfish princess Mareeve.
Appearance
Arthur is described as a very handsome man, compared to a Greek statute. He has a pretty muscular build with chin-length sandy-colored hair and blue eyes.
Personality
Arthur is a loving man, caring deeply for Mareeve; he believed her story about being a deep-sea princess and accepted her as she was which Mareeve greatly appreciated. Arthur's most prominent trait is his loyalty as he is determined to remain with Mareeve despite the likelihood of her outliving him or having to return to her ocean home. When she has to move towns, he goes with her; and when she does return to the sea, he goes too despite the risks.
Plot
Arthur fell in love with the mysterious woman "Mary" despite how the locals of Southgate village thought she was a witch. She told him of her true identity as a princess from the ocean species of the Saarineen and being forced to wander the world as her slow-aging process made her suspicious to humans. Even so, Arthur was steadfast in his love for her and remained her boyfriend, willing to move away with her when it was time.
The day before their departure, he went to visit Mareeve and she ran to meet him at her gate where he kissed her face. He was introduced to W.I.T.C.H who had come to Southgate on vacation. They took his arrival as their time to leave, though he'd unknowingly dazzled Taranee Cook with his good looks.
The following day, Arthur came by again to find Mareeve who'd just revealed her identity to W.I.T.C.H. He shook hands with Will Vandom who joked of how they kept bumping into each other, but she mentioned the girls would be going. Taranee, starstruck, questioned why they would leave which led Will to lie about a dinner appointment. Mareeve requested a group hug with the girls and Taranee tried to take the opportunity to hug Arthur but was pulled away by Will. A few hours later, the couple left on their journey.
They soon discovered that this was the mystic Red Night Mareeve had been waiting for, when her starfish subjects would be strong enough to help her take back her kingdom. They went to the beach to see the starfish but were met by Mareeve's enemy, Orristur, who had come to attack her with an army of sharks. Mareeve told Arthur to stay back and Orristur mocked the princess for only having a "worthless human" to defend her. At that moment, The Guardians arrived and joined Mareeve in fighting off Oristur's sharks, ending his terror once and for all.
Now free of this danger, Mareeve was ready to return to her kingdom, but Arthur still wanted to go with her, not caring how difficult this would be. Mareeve agreed and instructed him to inhale her breath, locking them in a kiss while the ocean waves swept them away to Mareeve's home.
It’s unclear what became of them after, but W.I.T.C.H. were optimistic that their love would let them live together happily.
