Shalin is the Runic of Air.

Appearance

Shalin looks east Asian and wears his blue hair in a long ponytail with a section covering his face. He is the only Runic with wings coming out of his uniform, making him the most aerially skilled.^[1]

Personality

Shalin is cold and calculating. Like the other Runics, he is extremely aggressive.^[1]

Trivia

• Shalin parallels Hay Lin in many ways: they share an elemental power over air (although his power is considerably weaker than hers), have similar names, the same hair color and appear to share Asian ancestry.^[1]
  • The fact that Shalin is the only Runic that has wings is a further parallel with Hay Lin, as within in the comics, she was the only Guardian with the ability to fly prior to Arc 7: New Power.
