Water shadows are water-based, elemental creatures that live on Earth. They only appeared in Issue 025: Water Shadows.
Plot
A water shadow appeared to a fisherman named Benjamin Crane. The water shadow saved him when he went fishing while there was a storm and afterwards the water shadow assumed Benjamin's image. It helped him find fishing spot with high level of luck and later Benjamin named the creature Jewell. This caught the attention of Mark Zibosky and it kidnapped Benjamin to blackmail Jewell and use his abilities for himself.[1]
Powers & abilities
The water shadows have the power of foresight and can make short term predictions. They can assume any shape but, once they acquire it, they can no longer turn back into their original form.[1]
Jewell also sensed that Irma's connection to water and even called her the queen of water.[1]
Trivia
- Irma looked a great deal like a water shadow in Season 2 of the TV series during H is for Hunted, when she surrounded herself in the water from a lake, Later in the final episode Z is for Zenith she looked even more like a water shadow when her powers reached their zenith and became pure water, even changing shape, although unlike the shadows she could return to her original form.
