Zenith is the abilty to turn into a pure elemental embodiment of one's elment and amplify their magical power to the absolute zenith of strength. This was used by the Guardians of Kandrakar in order to win the final battle of season 2 of the W.I.T.C.H. TV Series.

Description

When Nerissa psyhically invaded the guardians dreams they were constantly defeated by the Knights of Vegance until Taranee made them realise that they were not limited by their waking powers and were without limits. Subsquently Taranee, Hay Lin, Irma and Will escaped the cage they were imprisoned in by turning into their intangible elements. Cornelia did not but her hair grew very long in order to defeat the knights. Unknown to the guardians this was the first time they (except Cornelia) had entered their Zenith forms. ^[1]

During the final battle against Cedric, Nerissa revealed that during the dream fight they didn't simply use their powers, they became their powers. This made Hay Lin realise they became one with the four dragons and the Nympth Xin Jing who were the source of their magic. Though they expressed some doubt the guardians dug deep to find the core of their power and transformed into the very elements they emboided.

They subsquently defeated and knocked out Cedric but remained in Zenith form having nearly forgotten their humanity leaving their consicouness trapped in another dimension (implied to be the astral plane).

According to Halinor, the guardians lost themselves upon achieving their Zenith forms, having evolved beyond humanity. They can come back “they’ve simply forgotten they should”. With the help of their loved ones they managed to return to human form.^[2]

Zenith Form Abilities

Taranee Cook

• Pyrokinetic Invulnerability: Whilst in her Zenith Form Taranee was unaffected by Fire despite Cedric surrounding her in flames via his mouth.
• Pyrokinetic Redirection: With a full body gesture Taranee could redirect the fire that Cedric was breathing into his mouth.

Cornelia Hale

• Trichokinesis: In Zenith form Cornelia retained her long blonde hair but it is much longer and can grow indefinitely. When she used this hair to tie up Cedric he could not free himself even with his enhanced strength until she released him.

Irma Lair

• Desiccation: Via a kiss Irma absorbed water and bodily fluid from within Cedric leaving him gaunt, dehydrated and drained.
• Water Mimicry Reconstitution: When Cedric pushed her separating the water she was made of Irma was able to pull the water back together reconstituting herself.

Hay Lin

• Lilapsogenesis: Hay Lin created the largest Tornado shown in the series that despite his large size was able to lift Cedric far from the ground.
• Deoxygenation: Using the Tornado she created Hay Lin was able to suck all of Cedric's oxygen away.

Will Vandom

• Advanced Electrokinesis: Summoning energy Will unleashes a lightining bolt that is so strong Cedric is electrocuted to the point his skeleton is visible and he loses consciousness.

Trivia

• Part of why Cornelia did not enter into her Zenith form in her dreams is that unlike the other guardians her Zenith form is not intangible so she could not escape the cage Gargoyle created in that form.
• In their dreams Will could talk in Zenith form but, in reality, none of them could and even in the transformation process their voices sounded slightly robotic.
